Proposed PIP ‘Reform’ Senate Bill eliminating Acupuncture benefits for patients is based on flawed data

Injured patients would be denied patient choice and would not be allowed to choose acupuncture therapy for treatment if a proposed Senate bill 1860 is passed by the Florida state legislature.

SB 1860, the Automotive Personal Injury Protection (PIP) insurance reform bill sponsored by Senator Negron (R), would eliminate acupuncture treatments by licensed acupuncturists from covered expenses.  Only licensed acupuncturists (under Chapter 457) are being singled out for exclusion. Click here to read the complete press release from Florida State Oriental Medicine Association (FSOMA).

Click here to read more about this call to action regarding PIP by FSOMA.

If you have benefited from Acupuncture, to preserve your right to have a choice, time is of the essence; please take a moment right now to phone, email or send a letter to your State Senate representatives asking them to veto or amend the SB1860 bill.  You should have the right to choose acupuncture and massage therapy as a treatment.

Click here to find your State Senate representative.

Please share this information with friends and family and ask for their support to help us preserve everyone's right to a choice of treatment that really works!
